The typical alien according to Hollywood is something green with a big teardrop-shaped head that talks in an obnoxious robotic language and have come to harm us.
But throughout the years there have been a few that broke the stereotype and showed us how something so unknown can also be nice.

The movie begins in the mysterious Bermuda triangle where a team discovers a group of world war II flights that had disappeared 3 decades ago.

It follows how a linguist decodes the alien language and become a translator between humans and aliens as to avoid a conflict.
A science-fiction movie from America, telling the story of Carl sagan’s novel, “Contact”
Dr. Ellie played by Jodie foster works for the SETI program, an American government organization that researches the space in Puerto Rico.
She spends her day listening to radio transmissions hoping for signs of alien life.
After for a long wait of 4 years, she discovers a signal repeating a sequence of prime numbers, apparently sent from about 26 light-years away which is later discovered to be of alien origin.
After communication is established, the aliens send instructions, which later the scientist realize is to build a machine.
4.THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL 1951
The Day the Earth Stood Still is a 1951 American black-and-white film and it stars Michael Rennie, Patricia Neal, Hugh Marlowe, Sam Jaffe, Billy Gray, Frances Bavier, and Lock Martin.
The plot is based on the 1940 short story “Farewell to the Master” by Harry Bates.
A ufo lands in the capital of the USA and is surrounded by the army. An alien that looks like a human and his protector exits the ship and declares they come in peace.
They bring a device with them that helps humans study life outside earth, and also a message, that would determine the future of mankind.
The movie begins in an alternate universe in 1982, where an alien spaceship is found in southern Africa and the inhabitants of the spaceship are arrested and caged in an internment camp.

The movie is filled with a lot of scenes that mimic the feel of footage found by someone in the future like in the paranormal activity.

The movie follows the perspective of the only survivor of the spaceship, a human, who learns that he is on earth, which was a colony that humankind abandoned.
Later he encounters the native people of the planet and the story follows his means of survival in this now hostile planet.
Two friends who are antisocial and overly interested in comic books, take a road trip to the highly secretive area 51, where they find an alien.
They name the alien paul and these two geeks must find a way to protect the alien from the government and help him get home through his spaceship.
The movie is filled with a lot of adult humor and you can’t help but feel sympathy for the dorky nature of surprising three friends.
Extraterrestrial is a Steven Spielberg classic that released in 1982.
The movie follows the story of three siblings who try to protect an alien they found from a task force that was made to hunt the alien down.
The alien is named et and the kids form an emotional bond with it as they try to help it return home. the innocent and quirky nature of the alien makes you also be emotionally invested in it.
No one needs an introduction to the last son of krypton. Superman is the last survivor of his people and is sent to earth when his planet explodes.
He is found by the kent family in the US and the story follows his story of how he balances his human life as Clark Kent and his superhero life as Superman.

This Bollywood classic follows the life of Rohit played by Hrithik Roshan who is a mentally challenged student.
While struggling to cope with difficulties, Rohit stumbles upon an alien that helps him along the way and is named Jadhu since they mistake his powers for magic.
