NBC’s Peacock, An American on-demand video streaming service similar to HBO max, Apple tv & Disney+ has started losing the movies streaming on it.
Movies that already or will walk away:
Movies such as 2009’s fast & furious and other movies like Evan Almighty are starting to disappear from the platform.
Perhaps many other sitcoms & movies are being released out from the platform by the end of the month.
Movies such as Jurassic Park trilogy, Shrek, or Horror movies such as The Mummy & The Blair witch project will be released from the Peacock by 31st July.
The Comcast Subscribers that were allowed to have early access to service before its initial debut has been able to watch movies for a couple of months before they were out from the platform.
Yet it’s a bit bizarre that Peacock is letting many blockbusters drop out from their platform, and it can drastically affect viewership of Peacock.
Comparison with other platforms :
Well, it’s not an uncommon thing for a streaming platform to lose or have access to various movies and TV shows.
A streaming platform like HBO max, Disney+ has also suffered from the same phases at some point even though they own the content of the streaming platform.
Even big streaming platforms such as Disney+which is also producers of movies that don’t have access to its own movies.
Interview with NBCU:
In a recent interview with Engadget, the NBCU spokesperson mentioned that many movies that are released from their service will return promptly as they start picking up viewership from the channel.
He also mentioned that many more blockbusters movies are in line to release on their platform by the end of November, To keep the audience engaged with their streaming service they will be launching various packs with different offers for their viewers.
What’s left for the audience :
Still, there are a lot of things that can keep you engaged with the streaming platform. You can have over 1000 movies & and TV shows to stream on NBC’s Peacock.
With 1000 of content to watch on the streaming platform, you will receive offers every month from Peacock as per your subscription with the service providers.
For many movies such as Matrix, you will have to look somewhere else.
